*** Game 2 Whitestown C Team

June 27th, 2018

Whitestown squared off against New Hartford early in the tournament and had great pitching performances from Cullen Sheridan, Chris Jennings and Nico Lupia.  The game was a battle back and forth all day.  New Hartford took the early lead 3 to 0, Whitestown closed the gap with 2 runs of their own before New Hartford went up 7 to 2.  Whitestown did not back down, they challenged New Hartford by closing the gap to 7 to 6 but New Hartford finished the game with the win.  This was a great baseball game at the 9 and 10 year old level as there were no mental errors by either team.  Both teams are very well coached..  Chase Stoquert provided the offense for Whitestown with multiple hits, Tyreke Cornett and Santino Pedulla also chipped in with some timely hitting.  Chris Jennings crushed a ball in the gap in the 6th inning but a great play was made by the left fielder from New Hartford from keeping Whitestown from tying the game.  Play of the day made by Nate Cencetti, who fielded a very hard ground ball to get the 3rd out of the 4th inning in which New Hartford would have scored 2 more runs if the ball got past by Cencetti.  Good Luck to New Hartford the rest of the tournament.  Whitestown will play Thursday June 28th 6pm @ West Utica Little League in the Losers Bracket.

I will sound like a broken record....  Mother Nature will play a large part in tomorrow's game.  Please wait for your Head Coach to share any information about any cancellations.  If you do not hear from the Head Coach, the game is on.....
